Giora Israel, President of Giora Israel LLC, is a strategic advisor in global cruise tourism, port development, and the blue economy. With over four decades of leadership experience, he is a recognized, influential figure in the industry. He spent 31 years with Carnival Corporation, retiring as Senior VP of Global Port & Destination Development in 2023.
During his tenure, he was involved in 42 port projects worldwide, including destinations like Mahogany Bay, Amber Cove, and Dubai Harbour Cruise Port, where he served as the founding Chairman. He oversaw the development of 17 U.S. terminals, representing over $3.5 billion in investment.
Known for his work in sustainability, he led the initiative that saw the first U.S. cruise vessel enter Havana in 54 years.
