TBWA Worldwide

Toygun is the Chief Strategy Officer at TBWA\Istanbul and also the founder and head of TBWA’s strategic consultancy practice, Disruption Consultancy. Throughout his 25-year career at TBWA, he played a crucial part in elevating TBWA\Istanbul to the top spot. With his Istanbul team, he won a Gold Lion in the Design category at Cannes Lions 2025 for CarrefourSA's "Ghost Town" project on top of the numerous awards on TV, media and design categories in the previous years. Toygun was awarded The Strategic Planning Leader of the Year in Campaign's Global Agency of the Year Awards 2023.


Toygun has a deep understanding of the impact of artificial intelligence on advertising. He has shared his expertise through articles, agency trainings, and industry talks since 2017. In 2024, he presented “No Algorithm for Culture: How Humans See What AI Can't” on SXSW stage. In 2025, he was a contributor to The Future Labaratory’s “Synthocene Era” report.


Working closely with TBWA\Worldwide's cultural intelligence unit, Backslash, he transformed their Annual Cultural Edges Report into a conference and a podcast, both named Culture Next.
