Özgür Uzunoglu graduated from the Department of Business Administration at Boğaziçi University in 2000. He began his professional career as a corporate finance analyst at Global Investment. Between 2006 and 2009, he served as a senior investment banker at NBK Capital. Later, he joined Burgan Investment (formerly known as EFG Istanbul) and served as Co-Head of Corporate Finance until 2015.

In 2016, he joined Akfen Renewable Energy Inc. (“ARE”) as corporate finance director and has held the position of Deputy General Manager in charge of Financial Affairs since 2017. Over the past 7 years at ARE, he took an active role in coordinating and executing various mergers and acquisitions, project financing, and initial public offering transactions, with a total transaction volume of approximately 1 billion USD.
