Dr. Nilsun Tümer is the Development Director for Türkiye at IHG Hotels &Resorts, one of the world’s leading hotel companies. She is responsible for driving the expansion of the group’s diverse brand portfolio across Türkiye, which includes luxury, upscale and mainstream opportunities through managed and franchised deal structures. Prior to joining IHG Hotels & Resorts in 2000, she held several roles at consultancy companies including PKF hotelexperts and Servotel, as well as running her own consultancy hospitality company. Dr. Nilsun Tümer also has 10 years of banking experience both at TSKB and Citibank as a tourism industry economist. She has an extensive educational background, having graduated from Middle East Technical University (ODTU)’s Department of Economics, as well as a post-graduate diploma programme on International Banking from University of Southampton, a post-graduate finance programme from University of California Berkley and an EU Economics PhD Degree from Marmara University.
