Kaan Gür, with over 30 years of experience in the banking sector, graduated from Gazi University’s Banking and Insurance program and completed an Executive MBA at Middle East Technical University. He began his career at a private sector bank, taking on roles in Branch and Regional Management within Corporate, Commercial, and SME Banking, followed by serving as Marketing Coordinator responsible for the SME segment. In 2011, Gür joined Akbank as Executive Vice President responsible for SME Banking. From 2013 to 2017, he expanded his responsibilities to include Cash Management and Trade Finance as EVP for Commercial Banking. During his tenure at Akbank, he also served as Chairman of the Board at Ak Financial Leasing and as Deputy Chairman of the Board at Ak Investment Securities. From 2017 to 2023, Gür served as CEO and Board Member of a private sector bank, leading its transformation in key areas such as corporate strategy, technology, human resources, and organizational culture.
