GAD Architecture

Gökhan Avcıoğlu, as the founder and architect of GAD – Global Architectural Development, has led an innovative design team for over four decades. Founded in Istanbul in 1994, GAD has made a strong impact in Türkiye and internationally through more than 400 projects, ranging from high-quality residential developments to large-scale urban master plans.

Across diverse geographies including Istanbul, Bodrum, New York, Dubai, and Riyadh, the studio’s work is distinguished by a design approach that places sustainability, spatial flexibility, and the human–space relationship at its core. Award-winning projects such as Mandarin Oriental Bodrum, Esma Sultan, Divan Kurucesme, Tasigo Spa Thermal Hotel, and Borusan Music House exemplify GAD’s philosophy of treating architecture as a platform for experience and critical thought.

Avcıoğlu approaches architecture not merely as an aesthetic pursuit, but as an intellectual and creative practice that transforms space by forging environmental, cultural, and emotional connections.
