Bora Refik Cukurova is a third-generation Board Member and CTO at Göçtur Tourism, and the founder of GocturLabs Software Industry & Trade Inc. He leads Göçtur’s digitalization strategy and, through GocturLabs, develops platforms aligned with this strategy for both Göçtur and the wider tourism sector.

He completed his university education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) with a double major in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Industrial Engineering, together with a minor in Software Engineering.

After graduating, he worked as an embedded software engineer at A.J. Antunes, and later joined the R&D teams at Amazon Lab126 in Silicon Valley as an embedded software engineer, gaining international experience in product development and engineering.

At GocturLabs, he focuses on developing software and hardware solutions that support guest experience, day-to-day operations, and management decision-making, with a strong emphasis on real operational needs in the field. His work centers on simple, scalable platforms that bring different business units together on a common data and process backbone.

By combining an engineering mindset with on-the-ground needs, Bora Refik Cukurova focuses on digitalization and the practical application of technology to business processes within Göçtur and across the tourism industry.
