Ahmet Akbalık was born in Istanbul in 1971 and began his professional journey in 1985 at his family-owned business, Özak Tekstil. In 1991, he founded Özak Tekstil ve Konfeksiyon Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., marking the start of his entrepreneurial ventures. Over the years, Mr. Akbalık broadened his business interests by establishing İnt-Er Yapı in 1995 and Özak GYO in 2008. In 2009, he unified all affiliated companies under Özak Global Holding A.Ş., solidifying his position as a key figure in the Turkish business landscape.

Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Akbalık has held numerous prestigious positions in both the private and public sectors. His leadership roles have included Vice President of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), Vice President of the Istanbul Ready-Made Clothing and Apparel Exporters’ Association, and Board Member of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK). Additionally, he has been involved with the Belek Tourism Investors Association, served as Vice President of the Services Exporters’ Association, and chaired the TİM Services Sector Committee.

Currently, Mr. Akbalık serves as Vice Chairman of the Board at Özak Tekstil and is the Founding Partner and Chairman of the Board at Özak GYO, Özak Global Holding, and all of its affiliated subsidiaries. His strategic leadership continues to propel the growth and success of the Özak Group on both national and international stages.

Mr. Akbalık is married and a father of three.
